Our commitment
The Last Acre is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to make our website easier to use for all visitors.
Conformance status
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the technical standard most commonly referenced under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and similar laws in other jurisdictions.
Current status: Partially conformant. Some content does not yet fully meet the WCAG 2.1 AA standard. We are actively working to identify and address these gaps.
What we do
Our ongoing accessibility work includes:
- Using semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks so that assistive technologies can navigate the site;
- Ensuring text and interactive elements meet WCAG color-contrast ratios;
- Providing keyboard navigation for all interactive elements;
- Writing descriptive link text and alt text for images;
- Designing forms with clearly associated labels and error messages;
- Testing with screen readers (including VoiceOver and NVDA), keyboard-only navigation, and automated accessibility tools;
- Reviewing accessibility when we add new content or features.
Known limitations
Despite our best efforts, some areas of the site may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations as of the date above include:
- Some decorative animations may not respect "prefers-reduced-motion" preferences in all browsers;
- Some third-party content (such as embedded fonts and analytics) is not under our direct control and may have its own accessibility limitations.
If you encounter additional issues, we want to hear about them so we can fix them.
Compatibility
The website is designed to be compatible with the latest versions of major web browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and with assistive technologies including screen readers and voice-control software. Older browsers may not support all features.
